Liles Not Killed The Raleigh Standard: 14 Jan. 1863 NOT KILLED -- Amond the casualties at Kinston reported in the Raleigh papers it was stated that LIEUT. [EDWARD] LILES of Anson County, [Company B] 31st Regiment, N. C. T., was blown to pieces by a shell. We are glad to learn that this was as mistaken. -- Fayetteville Observer. Additional Comments: Note: The bracketed material has been supplied by the military records. Privates Armsberry and Benjamin Liles, both of Anson, were also in the 31st Regiment.
