GEORGE K. CADDELL of Anson County, North Carolina enlisted as a private in 
Company K, 43rd Regt. of North Carolina on Aug. 31, 1863. On Sept. 19, 1864 he 
was wounded in the left thigh at Winchester, Va. and captured. He was  
hospitalized at Baltimore, MD. where his leg was amputated. He was confined  
to Point Lookout Prison, MD. from January to June, 1865 and released.
