Submitted by: Jane Murtishaw Lindsey happy@hal-pc.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pension Application for Jacob Little - R 6383 The date of the letter below has been misinterpreted by many researchers and erroneously quoted in many sources as being dated Dec. 1835, thus causing most researchers to believe that this Jacob Little died before Dec. 1835. Pleasant Menon's statement that he was "of the Anson part of Union County" leaves no doubt that this letter was written well after 1835 since Union County was not formed until 1842. Much of the copy of this application is worn or faded away and what remains is difficult to read. If anyone has a better copy or is able to correct the many omissions and mistakes, please forward the corrections to Jane Murtishaw Lindsey at happy@hal-pc.org Whites Store NC 31st Dec. 1855 Capt.
