   ARREST OF A MURDERER --We learn from a friend of Selma, Ala., that THOMAS 
CURTIS, who murdered THOMAS CASH, in Anson County, N. C., about the year 1823, 
and fled, has been apprehended in Alabama and committed to jail in Mobile
