             NOT KILLED
   Among the casualties at Kinston rreported in the Raleigh papers, it was 
stated that LIEUTENANT LILES of Anson County, 31st North Carolina Troops, was 
blown to pieces by a shell. We are glad to learn that this is a mistake. -- 
Fayetteville Observer
