Old News From Anson County 1818
September 18, 1818, STAR (Raleigh, N.C.)
-BROUGHT TO JAIL.  On the 10th instant, a negro man by the name of BILL, about 
30 years of age, five feet 5 or 6 inches high, or a yellow complexion, says he 
belongs to Norman McLEAL of Montgomery county, N.C.  The owner is requested to 
come forward and pay charges and take him away. 
Anson county, N. C.  Aug. 23d, 1818.      PARKS BEEMAN, Jailor.
