Old News From Anson County 1820
April 21, 1820, STAR (Raleigh, N.C.)
-Taken up and committed in the jail of this place, a negro man by the name of 
DICK, (or DICK LITTLE) who upon examination, says that he is the property of 
FRED. ANDERSON, who formerly lived in the county of Anson, but removed to the 
Alabama Territory.  He is about 42 or 43 years old, about five feet four or 
five inches high, stout made, and very black.  The owner is requested to come 
forward and release him, or he will be dealt with as the law directs.
