Feb. 10, 1806, Raleigh Minerva February 10, 1806 $100 Reward -- Stolen out of a Stable in the neighborhood of Wadesboro, Anson County, N. C., on the 15th inst., my well-known horse, “Whalebone”; in good order and shod – “Whalebone” is 14 years old, 14 hands, 3 inches high, a good chestnut sorrel, branded thus M on his cheek, shoulder and buttocks; has lost one eye, trots well and had a switch tail. The above reward will be given to any person who will deliver me the horse and safely secure the thief in some jail, so as he may be convicted; or a generous reward will be given for the horse alone.
