Betty Horne Baker, 69, of Wadesboro, N.C. died Saturday, April 17, 2004 in 
Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. 

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20 from Mt. Beulah 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Wallace officiating. Interment followed in 
Anson Memorial Park. 

Born in Anson County, N.C., Mrs. Baker was a daughter of the late Joe and Lola 
Mae Bowers Horne. She had worked as a medical secretary at Anson Community 
Hospital and attended Mt. Beulah Baptist Church. 

Surviving are a daughter, two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death in 1998 by her husband, Baxter L. Baker, and by an 
infant sister, Bertha Ella Horne. 

Arrangements were entrusted to Leavitt Funeral Home.
