               TRIBUTE OF RESPECT
              "ELLIS ANSON RIFLEMEN"
           Anson County, North Carolina, May 28, 1861
    Whereas, in the dispendation of an allwise Providence, it hath pleased the 
Almighty to remove from time to eternity the companion of our beloved CAPT. W. 
F. HARLEE.  Therefore:
    Resolved, That in the death of MRS. JANE HARLEE, we feel that her 
neighbors and friends have sustained a loss which time will fail to repair, 
yet we would bow with humble submission to this unexpectated stroke of 
Providence and would humbly trust that all her acquaintances may be profited 
hereby.
    Resolved, That we tender our heart-felt condolence and sympathy to her 
parents, her relatives and friends, and more especially to her husband, in 
this, his hour of sad bereavement and affliction.
    Resolved, That this Company wear the usual badge of mourning for 30 days, 
as a testimonial of our respect and sorrow for the deceased.
    Resolved, That a copy of this preamble and resolution be sent to the 
Wadesboro Argus, with a request to copy the same.j
