   WALTER R. LEAK, was born in Rockingham, N. C., Jan. 15, 1811 and died near 
Little Rock, Ark., May 31, 1859, 48 years, three months and 13 days.
   The death of BROTHER LEAK has brought a heavy and lasting loss on many 
persons and various interests. The Community would not have felt their 
affliction to be greater had their best neighbor died. The Bank of Wadesboro 
has lost an efficient and deservedly popular President.
