                  TRIBUTE OF RESPECT
   Whereas, the Supreme Architect of the Universe has been pleased to remove 
from among us, by the hand of death, our worthy brother, THOMAS G. SANDERS, 
we, the members of this Lodge, bowing in submission to the will of Almighty 
Providence, desire to render public this sad tribute to his memory. Therefore 
do resolve:
1. That while we recognizxe the hand of the Grand Master in calling oour 
worthy and esteemed brother from the labors and turmoils of earth, to the 
refreshments perpapred for the faithful, we would express our sense of 
bereavement at the death of one so much belovedand respected, both as a 
brother Mason and a Christian, and that, while we bow in humble submission to 
the divine Will, we cannot but deplore the loss of one who , as a good 
craftsman, never tarnished the badge of his profession.
2. That while we deeply sympathize with the family and relations of our 
deceased brother, yet we would say to them, "grieve not," for the Lord gave 
and the Lord hath taketh away" that though his earthly tabernacle is dissolved 
and his pilgrimage accomplished, yet they may console themselves with the 
reasonable hope that his spirit hath taken its flight to a better and happier 
home.
3. That in testimony of our respect, we will wear the usual badge of mourning 
for 30 days.
4. That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family of our deceased 
brother, and also the North Carolina Argus, with a request to publish them.
