 W.B.. Smith 68 Died at Mercy Hospital. He was a retired operator of Smith's 
Exxon on N. Tryon St.
 the Funeral will be at Newell Baptist Ch. with pastor Rev. Dan Silver of Shady 
Grove Baptist ch., Cherryville and Rev. James F. Graham, interm pastor, 
officiating.Burial will be in the Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
  Born Dec. 5 1907, in Anson Co., he was the son of the late Adam Empie and 
Ella McKinnis Smith and a member of Newell Baptist Ch.
