Will of Susannah Dunn Bennett, died 1847. (Transcribed from original, handwritten will) In the name of God Amen. I SUSANNAH BENNETT of the County of Anson and state of North Carolina being of sound mind and disposing memory do make ordain publish and declare this my last will and testament (viz) 1st: It is my will and desire that all my just debts be paid. 2nd: I give and bequeath to my son NEVEL BENNETT one bed, a pair of sheets, one figured counterpane and one black bed cover. 3rd: I give and bequeath to my son LEMIEL D. BENNETT the note which I hold against him and G.W. LITTLE except what will decently bury my body. 4th: I give and bequeath to my son RISTEN H. BENNETT the note which I hold against him except what will pay BASHEBA ADCOCK for her services while here at the rate of one dollar and fifty cents per week. 5th: I give and bequeath to my daughter NANCY JANE INGRAM one hundred dollars which I have by me in cash and one molasses pot. And lastly I do appoint my son RISTEN H. BENNETT Executor to this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills heretofore made by me and declaring this and this only to be my last will and testament this 8th day of June 1847.
