Dunlap for letters of administration De Bonis non cum Testamento annexo upon the estate of George Dunlap decd. Showeth (1st) that George Dunlap died in the County and State aforesaid on the 9th day of June 1859 , having first published and declared his Last Will and Testament in which he failed to appoint an Executor ( 2nd) That said will was admitted to Probate at January Term 1860, where letter of administration with the will annexed With the will annexed were issued to Christopher Watkins by the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions of Anson County, who is since dead. Without concluding the administration of said estate. (3rd) That the applicant is the oldest son & child of the said George Dunlap. He applies for said Letters after the renunciation of Eliza J. Watkins,the next oldest child on his behalf & he is legatee & devisee under the will. [Page 3 of 94] That the property unadministered at this time consists mainly of notes found in the hands of Christopher Watkins worth not exceeding one Hundred & 27/100 Dollars --and the Lands devised by the said George Dunlap--consisting of from one thousand to Fourteen Hundred and Thirty acres as far as the applicant knows worth about Ten or Twelve thousand Dollars--part of it which was devised to the applicant has been sold under Executive (sp?) against Christopher Watkins admr with the will annexed of George Dunlap and the applicant. That Benj I Dunlap and Eliza J.
