V. Dabbs Will North Carolina Anson County I, E V. Dabbs, of the above county and State, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make, publish and declare, this my last will and testament. Item 1. My executer (sic), hereinafter named, shall give my body a decent burial, suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives, and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts out of the first money, which may come into his hands belonging to my estate. Item 2. I give to my sister Melissa Ratliffe, and her heirs a lot of land containing Two and One-Third (2 1/3) Acres, Known as the Sallie Simond land. Item 3. I give, devise and bequeath, as the rest of my property, both real and personal of every Kind and description, to my sisters, Jacquelin Dabbs, Lydia Dabbs and Fannie Jerman, and their heirs, share and share alike. Item 4, I hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend, T. J. Ratliffe, my lawful executor, to execute this my last will and testament, according to the true intent and meaning of the same, and every part and clause thereof - I hereby revoke and declare utterly void, all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made. Item 5, I hereby constitute and appoint H. H. McLendon, Attorney, to assist my executor in carrying out this my las will and testament. P. 381 In Witness Whereof, I, the said E.V. Dabbs, do hereunto set my hand and seal, this, the 8 day of February, 1915. E. V. Dabbs (seal) signed sealed, published and declared by the said E. V. Dabbs, to be and contain his last Will and testament, in the presence of us, who at his reguest and in his presence and in the presence of each other, do subscribe our names as Witnesses. R. M. Flower J. W. Pratt JP State of North Carolina Anson County In the Superior Court The foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of the late E. V. Dabbs of said County and state, in this day propeneeded(?) Jer(?) probate in our said Superior Court by T. J. Ratliffe the executer (sic) named therein and the due executive thereof is proven by the oath and examination of R M Flower and J W. Pratt, the subscribing Witnesses, who being severally duly sworn according to law, do depose and say and each for himself deposeth and saith, that at the date therein Named the said E. V. Dabbs signed his name at the end of said paper writing, and declared the same to be His last will and testament in the presence of these Witnesses and that thereupon these Witnesses signed their names thereto as witnesses, in the presence of the testater (sic), and at his request; and that at the time of the execution thereof as aforesaid by the testater (sic), the said E. V. Dabbs was of sound mind and memory, of full age to execute a Will and was not under restraint to the Knowledge, information or belief of these witnesses. Therefore let said paper writing be admitted to probate and recorded as the last will and testament of the said E. V. Dabbs deceased Done at office in Wadesborough this the 30th day of October A.D. 1915, when and where the said T. J.
