I RICHARD HOUGH of Anson Coiunty in North Carolina Planter being sick of weak in body But of Perfect mind & Memory Thanks be given unto God Therefor (unreadable) to mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Dye do make and ordane this my Last Will & Testamint that is to say Principally and first of all I give & recommend my soul unto the Hands of God that gave it & for my Body I recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like & Deaceant manner at the Diseretion of any Executor Doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty Power of God & as Touching such lordley estate where with it hath Pleased God to Bless me in this lfe I give (unreadable) & dispose of the same in the following manner & form (unreadable) it is my will & I order that in the first place all my just debts & funeral charges payed & satisfied. ITEM: I give to my bseloved wife MARTHA HOUGH one half of my cows & dry Cattle & one hundred pounds Pensylvanis money (unreadable) saddel & one feather bed & furnitlure stove. I leave to my well beloved son WILLIAM HOUGH my dwelling Plantation & three hundred acres of land belonging to the said Plantation been part of the track & my waggon & furniture & four Horses manchen of latter & buck L& Knight& Black Jack & one half of the women tools on the Purnorrs Plantation except one Bar of PlowTines them I leave to my beloved son THOMAS HOUGH one hundred Pounds Pensylivania money when it come due in Pensylivania & one set of Plow Einirs Item I leave to my beloved daughter HANNAH CROALEBE one hundred & fifty pounds Pensyilvania money. Item I leave to my beloved daughter ELIZABETH SHARPE five pounds Pensilvania money. Item I leave to my beloved daughter in Law LETHEY STALL five pounds Pensilvanis money Item I leave to my beloved son RICHARD HOUGH three hundred acres of land belonging to the tract before mentione adjoining the ford of Broad river & two hundred pounds Pensilvinia money to be payed to him all Items that I leave (unreadable) wife MARTHA HOUGH & my beloved son WM HOUGH executore of this my Last will and testament and what money & creatures remains of paying this several sum before mentioned to fall to my son WM HOUGH & my wife MARATHA to have the use of the (unreadable) during her life & to fall to my son WM HOUGH after I do Ratifing if & confirming this and an nother to be my last will & Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the Day & year above written.
