Will of Jeremiah Lewis, Sr., Anson Co. NC From: Meredith Clapper Jeremiah Lewis Last Will October 1794 In the name of god amen. I, Jeremiah Lewis, Senior of the county of anson and state of north carolina being weak in body but in perfect scences and memory do constitute this my last will and testament and desire it may be received of all as such First then I give and bequeath to my dear wife Sarah Lewis one cow and calf her choice and my housal (torn)f as she shall stand in need of during her life or widowhood afterward to be equaly devided between my two sons Jeremiah and Thomas Lewis. Next I give to my son Jeremiah Lewis two hundred acres of land on which I now live likewise my bay horse and shoemakers tooles provided that this Jeremiah find my wife Sarah an horse to ride when ever she wants and her maintainance during her widowhood.
