Archives - Anson County Wills - 1754 - 1946 North Carolina Anson County } I Mary Adams of the County and State aforesaid, being of sound mind and disposing memory do hereby make execute, publish and declare the following to be and to contain my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and declaring void all Wills heretofore made by me: Item 1 It is my will and desire that my Executors hereinafter named shall pay off and discharge all my just debts out of the first money coming to their hand after my demise Item 2 I will and bequeath that all my personal property of every kind on hand and owned by me at the time of my demise shall be equally divided to share and share alike, between my two nieces Hotliss [?} Jackson and Clyde Jackson, daughters of my deceased brother the late Dr. A. L. Jackson, Decd in the event of either of them, my said nieces, before my death or before said property be divided then in that event, it is my will and desire that the survivor of my said nieces shall take and enjoy all of my said personal property hereby bequeathed in this Item of My Said Will. Item 3 I will bequeath and devise to my nephew Andrew Jackson and nieces Hotty and Clyde Jackson and their heirs all my real estate of every kind, situated in Anson County North Carolina or elsewhere to be equally divided between them and to hold said realty in fee. And in the event of the death of any of my devisees mentioned in this Item of this Will before my demise or before the division of said realty It is my will and I hereby devise my said realty to the survivors or survivor of these or their heirs or his or her heirs. Item 4 I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my trusty friends John C. McLauchlin and James T. Bradly of Said County and State my Executors to this my last Will and Testament and hereby ask them to carry out the provisions of said Will. In Witness Whereof I have signed sealed and published and declared this Instrument as my last Will and Testament, at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County North Carolina on this 30th day of November AD 1886. Superior Court June 17th 1889 Application for Letters Testamentary - Number 206 - Re: Mary Adams, Decd State of North Carolina, Anson County In the matter of the last will of Mary Adams, desd James T. Bradley being duly sworn, doth say: That Mary Adams, late of said County, is dead she died Dec. 29, 1887 at Atlanta Ga having first made and published her last Will and Testament; and that James T. Bradley and John C. McLauchlin are the executors named therein. John C. McLauchlin has renounced his right to qualify and act as executor. Further, that the property of the said Mary Adams consisting of a town lot in Lilesville in said County, watch, clothing and (all) is worth about $400.00 so far as can be ascertained at the date of this application; and that Andrew Jackson, Hattis Jackson and Clyde Jackson ...children of Dr. A. L. Jackson residing with their mother Mrs. J. F. Jackson at Shelby in said State are the parties entitled under said will to the said property.
