I William Terry of Anson County being very sick & weak in mind but in perfect mind & memory thanks be unto God Calling to mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed for all men (one?) to die do make & ordain this my Last Will & Testament that is to say Principal-ly & first of all I give & recommend my soul unto the hand of Almighty God that gave it & my body I Recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the Discretion of Executors nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the might power of God & as Touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this Life I give devise and of the same in the following manner & form. Item I give to my Daughter Martha Pickett one negro named Tom and Twenty pounds prock. Item I give unto my son James Terry all my Lands by him freely to be possessed & Enjoyed also one negro man named Bob. Item I give to my Daughter Mourning Coleman one negro boy named Shaper. Item I give to my Daughter Margarett Smith one negro Girl named Jude. Item I give to Elizabeth (Hellams?) one cow & calf one feather bed & furniture then after my lawfull Debts is paid I Lend all the rest of my Estate unto my wife Mary Terry During her natural Life & after her Decease sixty pounds to be Raised out of the Estate and Equally Dived between my three Daughters Martha Mourning & Margarett & the Rest to be Equally Divided amongst the four chil-dren above mentioned To wit Martha James Mourning & Margarett.
