W H Badger to Alpha Badger

This indenture made this 17th day of February
1890 between W. H. Badger of the first part  & Alpha
Badger of the second part both of the county of Ashe &
State of North Caroliina;  Withthesiath; That whereas
the said W.H. Badger bought a Tract of Land of John
Duvall, his father in law. Father of the said Alpha
Badger wife of the said Wm H. Badger and whereas the
said John Duvall gave to his daughter Alpha a Hundred
Dollar interest in said Land and whereas the said Wm
H. Badger has sold all of the said land except the
interest which said John Duvall gave to his daughter
Alpha, now I the said Wm H. Badger do hereby Deed &
Convey to his wife the said Alpha  Badger all his
right & title to what Land is left of said land
adjoining the land of H.A. Eller, John Jones and
other, Lying on the Pounding Mill Branch.
In witness whereof I the said W.H. Badger hath set my
hand & seal in presence of H.C. Poe

I H.C Poe do hereby certify, that W. H. Badger
personally appeared before me and this day and
acknowledged that due execution of the annexed Deed of
conveyance and that he doth still assert thereto.
