Reves 103 acres This Indenture made this twenty Eight day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty two by & between Polly Doughton, Charles Doughton, George Doughton, Gracy Doughton, and Jesse Doughton & Rosey Doughton of Ashe County & State of N. Carolina & David Cox & Denny Robison of the State of Virginia and Grayson County, & John McGimsey of Murry County of Tennessee of the heirs of Joseph Doughton Deceased of our part, and George Reves of the State of North Carolina & Ashe County of the other part Witnesseth, that they the Said Polly Doughton, Charles Doughton, George Doughton, David Cox, John McGimsey, Grace Doughton, Denny Robeson, and Rosey Doughton & Jesse Doughton for and in consideration of the Sum of Three hundred and Seventy five Dollars to them in hand paid by the Said George Reves, the receipt whereof they the Said Polly Doughton, Charles Doughton, George Doughton, David Cox, John McGimsey, Grace Doughton, Denny Robinson, Jesse Doughton & Rosey Doughton acknowledged theirselves therewith fully Satisfied & paid hath granted, bargained & Sold, and by these presents doth absolutely Sell, convey & confirm unto him the said George Reves a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and three acres be the same more or less, lying and being in the County of Ashe on the waters of Dog Creek, Beginning at a white oak South Sixty poles to a white oak South thirty Six Degrees West fifty four poles to a white oak in Duncan’s line, West thirty four poles to a Stake, North eighty eight poles to a white oak Solomon Toliver’s corner, West twenty two poles to a white oak, North thirty four poles to a white oak, West Sixty two poles to a Spanish oak & white oak, North Seventy four poles to a large white oak in the State line, East one hundred & four poles to a Black Walnut, South sixteen poles to a Ashe, South twenty four degrees, East Ninety poles to the Beginning. Together with every right, title, priviledge & emolument to the said land belonging or in any wise appertaining, and they the sd. Polly Doughton, Charles Doughton, Jesse Doughton, Gracey Doughton, George Doughton, Rosamond Doughton, David Cox, John McGimsey, Denny Robinson doth bind theirself their heirs, executors, Admins well and truly to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid premises, with all the Appurtenances to him the said George Reves his heirs and assigns forever free and clear from any Just claim in witness whereof we the said Polly Doughton Charles Doughton, Jesse Doughton, Grace Doughton Rosamond Doughton, George Doughton, David Cox, John McGimsey & Denney Robinson have set their hands & seals, Signed Sealed and delivered in presents of Attest James Maxwell Enoch Reves C.
