Graybeal krgrebiel@verizon.net September 14, 2010, 8:32 am Written: August 1, 1805 Recorded: 1809 Note: This individual is most certainly the son of Peter Graybeal and Christina Wampler. It is likely that he may have turned 21 years of age shortly before he bought the land. In February of 1809 John sells this tract to his brother Henry. (see Book D, page 104) It was about this time that several families from Ashe County, notably the Hensons moved to Kentucky, settling in Clay and Madison Counties there. After the sale in 1809 John disappears from the records until 1834 when he buys land in Jackson County, Ohio. I suspect that John went to Kentucky with the Hensons and other families. He however does not appear in the 1810 census for either Clay or Madison County. Copied by: Kyle R. Graybeal. k r g r e b i e l @verizon.net +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Ashe County, N.C.
