This deed made the 7th day of November 1933 by Lester M. Sturgill and wife Ida May Sturgill of Ashe County and State of North Carolina of the first part, to Joseph and D. M. Graybeal heirs of Ashe County and State of North Carolina of the second part: WITNESSETH, That said Lester M. Sturgill and wife Ida Mae Sturgill in consideration of One Dollar, to them paid by Joseph and D. M. Graybeal's heirs the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey to said Joseph and D.M. Graybeal's heirs their heirs and assigns, a certain tract or porcel [sic] of land in Ashe County, State of North Carolina, adjoining the lands of Arthur Shepard, and others, and bounded as follows, viz.: all their right and interest in land as herein described: Beginning on a whiteoak in the northwest corner Graybeal grave yard running South 68 feet 3 inches, east 64 feet 1 1/2 inches, north 69 feet 11 inches, west 57 feet 9 inches, this being the amount of land enclosed by a plank fence with locust posts. The right of way from the State Highway to the graveyard is included. This graveyard is known as the Graybeal graveyard and is located on the knoll just above the old E. E. Johnson house. This grave yard excepted in deed made by L. M. Sturgill to Arthur Shepard. (see deed book B-5, page 565) To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging, to the said Joseph and D.M. Graybeal's heirs their heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. And the said Lester M. Sturgill and wife Ida May Sturgill for themselves and their heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with said Joseph and D. M. Graybeal's heirs their heirs and assigns, that they are seized of said premises in fee, and have right to convey in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all encumbrances, and that they do hereby forever warrant and will forever defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever.
