I have made every attempt to preserve the original spellings and have inserted "(?)" following words which were difficult to decipher. John Faw's Will In the name of God Amen. I John Faw being of sound mind and memory and know the uncertainty of life but the certainty of Death do this day make ordain and constitute this my last Will and Testament as follows to wit 1st I wish my body to be buried in a plain decent manner and to be paid for out of my Estate not here willed together with all my just debts 2nd I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy Faw the lands I now live on the Mill Tract of one Hundred acres together with the Mill the 28 acre tract that lying between the mill tract and the Hunt tract and 8 acres out of the Hunt tract including that portion below the crofs fence the Ran(?) tract 50 acres the Lenore tract 150 acres with the exception of about 16 acres that lays on the Hunt tract and 20 acres below the Island including the Island field during her natural life then to descend to my beloved son Benjamin C Faw and his heirs for ever I further give and bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy fifty acres of land on Mill Creek to be hers in fee simple and for her to dispose off as she may wish I also give her my mare also as many of my cattle Sheep and Hogs as she wish also all my house hold and kitchen furniture as she may wish also all or as much of the grane and provision on hand and feed for the stock as she may wish or at least one years suply(?) she may dispose of these things as she may see fit I also give her my negro girl Cate during her life then to be divided amongst all my daughters eaqual. I also give and desire that all of my lands not hear willed be divided eaqualy amongst all my Daughters eaqualy shear and shear alike or the proceeds there off given under my hand and seal this 24 day of October 1862 done in the presances of us Attest John Faw {seal} B.
