Keener, of Ingalls, who is one of the oldest subscribers to The Observer. Maj. Keener is a veteran of two wars. He served in the Mexican War as a colonel. During the civil war he served as a major, rendering valiant service for the Confederacy. He is now 90 years old, but his health is good and he is as vigorous as many men of half his years. The major has lost none of his interest in public affairs and current events. Besides The Observer he takes a New York paper, his county paper and magazines. He is one of the best informed men in his county.
