Avery Advocate  Writer Not Listed February 11, 1932
	Ephriam Wallace, 30, wanted for the alleged slaying Thurston Oliver 
near Banner Elk last December 26 has been arrested by officers in Elizabethton, 
according to reports.  It was learned that Wallace was arrested while 
intoxicated and the officers later recognized him as the man wanted for the 
slaying of Oliver.  
		Oliver and Wallace had quarreled on Christmas day when the 
former is said to have attacked Wallace with a knife.  The following day they 
met on the highway and Oliver was shot to death, it is alleged.
