Hughes) Uncle Harrison Aldridge passed to his reward on last Tuesday, January 12. Uncle Harrison as everyone called him had been ill about three months. He was 71 years old, had been a member of the Baptist church more than fifty years. He leaves two sons, Clarence and Lloyd of Spear, three brothers and three sisters. One of the sisters lives in the state of Washington, one in Oregon and one in Marion, N.C. His wife has been dead for several years. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Bivie Greene, pastor of Yellow Mountain church and interment made in Yellow Mountain cemetery, on Wednesday afternoon. A large number of friends were present. We who knew Uncle Harrison feel that he is not dead but sleepeth, the blessed sleep of those who love the Lord.
