Wanda B. Bare 


    NEWLAND, N.C. -- Wanda Baily Bare of Banner Elk passed away on Thursday, 
September 13, 2007, at Cannon Memorial Hospital, Linville. 


    A native of Avery County, she was born the daughter of the late Joseph and 
Mamie Greer Keener. 


    Mrs. Bare was a member of Heaton Christian Church. She enjoyed bluegrass 
music, crocheting and dabbling in crafts. 


    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first 
husband, William A. Baily, and her second husband, Helton Bare. 


    Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Bellamy and husband Ralph of New 
Port Richie, Fla., and Tonie Smith and husband Hal of Banner Elk; and her 
sister, Helen Roberson of Elizabethton, Tenn. Several nieces and nephews also 
survive. 


    A memorial service for Wanda will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 
in the Grandfather Chapel with the Rev. Bud Howell officiating. The Bare 
family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. If
