Mrs. Beard Dies Suddenly
	Mrs. Roby Beard, aged sixty years, died suddenly last Wednesday, the 
25th, at her home near Elk Park.  She had been in poor health for some time, 
but was apparently stronger in the last few weeks.  She had gone to the garden 
and got potatoes and prepared them for dinner and then lay down on her bed and 
when other members of the family went to call her to dinner they found her 
dying.
	The deceased was considered a good neighbor and was a member of the 
Baptist church.
	Besides, a host of friends, to mourn her departure, she leaves a 
husband, Roby Beard, one son, James, and four daughters, Mesdames Henry Hicks 
and Milton Adkins, and Misses Martha and May Beard.  Interment was made in a 
private grave yard on Little Elk.
