Mrs. Farn Buchanan received a telegram one day this week that her husband, who 
went to Canton, Ohio about six weeks ago to seek work, had been sick for some 
time with pneumonia and was very low.  Mrs. Buchanan and her two brothers, 
Harry and Frank Young, and her sister, Mrs. C.C. Burleson, left immediately 
afterwards for Canton.  At three o’clock Sunday morning another telegram 
reached here announcing that Mr. Buchanan had passed away.  Relatives expect 
his body to be sent back here about this Wednesday.

Mr. Buchanan was near thirty-years old and has spent most of those in our 
neighborhood.  He leaves a mother, a wife and three little sons to mourn his 
death, also many more relatives and friends.  We learn that he reformed just 
as he reached Ohio, so his many friends are glad to know that he is “safe in 
the arms of Jesus.”
