AVERY COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Macy Elizabeth Bare, 6 Sep 2002 ----¤¤¤---- Macy E. Bare ELK PARK, N.C. -- Macy Elizabeth Bare, 112, of Elk Park, died Friday, September 6, 2002, in a Linville hospital. Mrs. Bare was a native and lifelong resident of Avery County and a daughter of the late Joe and Rosie Oaks Turbyfill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ed Bare, and two daughters, Jean Adams and Alma May Bare. Mrs. Bare was a homemaker. She attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Edna Oaks, Roan Mountain, Tenn., and Edith Ward, Valdese, and three sons, Harry Bare and Harold "Bud" Bare, both of Elk Park, and Helton Bare, Black Mountain. Thirty-four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great- grandchildren and several great-great-great-grandchildren also survive. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Newland, (828) 733-2121, is serving the Bare Family. BARE -- Funeral services for Macy Elizabeth Bare, 112, of Elk Park, N.C., who died Friday, September 6, 2002, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 8, from the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Burl Sluder, the Rev. David Benfield and the Rev. Erby McKinney officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor's Chapel Cemetery.
