AARON L. CARPENTER 

NEWLAND - Aaron L. Carpenter, 86, of Little Buck Hill Road, died Tuesday, 
Sept. 12, 2006 at Charles Cannon Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late 
Thomas and Louise Pyatte Carpenter and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a 
retired mill operator with Feldspar Corporation and a member of Walnut Grove 
Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah Wiseman Carpenter of the home; a daughter, 
Lela C. Rhyne of Newland; three sons, Ned L. Carpenter, Bobby L. Carpenter, 
and Kent A. Carpenter, all of Newland; one sister, Almira Farthing, of 
Morganton; a brother, Von Carpenter, of Clinton, Tenn.; four grandchildren and 
six great grandchildren. 

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Walnut Grove Cemetery. 
The Rev. Gale Lammey officiated and VFW Post 4286 assisted.
