SAM CALLOWAY
MAGNOLIA, OH - Sam Calloway, 80, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002 following 
a brief illness. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and retired from 
Republic Steel Corp. He later worked as a Greeter at Wal-Mart in Massillon, 
OH. He was a member of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ada Calloway of the home; two sons, Rev. Dale 
Calloway of Massillon, and Randy Calloway of Canton, OH; a daughter, 
Gwynneth Brockbank of Hudson, FL; eight grandchildren; and several great 
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Big Meadows Baptist Church 
in Newland. His son, Rev. Dale Calloway officiated. Burial was in the 
church cemetery. The family received friends from 12 noon until the service 
hour at the church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of 
arrangements.
