Searl Church

Searl Church, 69, Sugar Hollow Road, Elizabethton, died Thursday, 
February 20, 2003, at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Church was a native of Avery County, N.C., and the son of the late 
Robert and Cordelia Cook Church. He was also preceded in death by three 
sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Church was a member of Beech Mountain Baptist Church and a retired 
employee of General Motors, Detroit, Mich.
Survivors include two sons, Brian Church and Wade Church, both of 
Morganton, N.C.; three sisters, Frances Church Davis, Roberta Church 
Potter and Arvella Church Davis, all of Elizabethton; and two brothers 
and sisters-in-law, Chester and Lois Church, Valdese, N.C.; and Kenneth 
and Dorothy Church, Hampton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

CHURCH -- Graveside services and interment for Searl Church, 69,  
Sugar Hollow Road, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, February 20, 2003, 
will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 23, at Beech Mountain Baptist 
Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Church officiating. Those who plan 
to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:55
