Myrtle A. Edwards

Mrs. Myrtle Ann Edwards, 87, Tenth Street, Erwin, died Thursday, 
March 13, 2003, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Edwards was a native of Heaton, N.C., and a daughter of the late 
Loranza Ellis and Florence Whitehead King. She was also preceded in 
death by two sisters, Lois Shutak and Della Hughes.
Mrs. Edwards was formerly employed as a Medical Technologist with 
Unicoi County Memorial Hospital and hospitals in Georgia and Florida. 
She was a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette Daye and Larry 
Steven McCarty, Knoxville; a brother, John Frank King, Elizabethton; 
three sisters, Iva Shell, Elizabethton, Stella Cook, Avery County, N.C., 
and Viola Baker, Shell Creek; and four grandchildren and spouses, Timothy 
Lee and Dorie White, Chesapeake, Va., Daniel Allan and Jill White, Erwin, 
Anthony Curtis and Jennifer White, Johnson City, and Angelia Jeannette and 
Ralph John Dittmeier, San Antonio, Texas. Fifteen great-grandchildren 
also survive.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

is in charge.
