GRACE LAWS GARDNER 

INGALLS - Grace Laws Gardner, 76, of Old Hanging Rock Road, died Thursday, May 
4 at her home. A native of Avery County, she was the daughter of the late John 
Laws and the late Rosa Adelade Burleson Laws. She was also preceded in death by 
a son, Jerry Lee Gardner; a granddaughter, Mary Grace Gardner; two brothers; 
and three sisters. She was a charter member of Whites Memorial Baptist Church 
in Ingalls.

Survivors include her husband, George Lee Gardner of the home; three sons, Gary 
Dean Gardner of Elk Park, Terry Hugh Gardner of Marion, and Tim Gardner of the 
home; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and five step-
grandchildren. 

A Celebration of Life service was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Whites Memorial 
Baptist Church. Martin Cook and Rev. Jim Greene officiated. Burial followed in 
the church cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service 
hour Monday at the church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of 
arrangements.
