The Avery Advocate October 11, 1928
Mr. Nathan Goodin, aged sixty eight, died October 5th, at his home on the head 
of Horse Creek, where he had lived alone for more than twenty years.  The 
community claimed him as a good citizen and a faithful church member.  He did 
not know the taste of an alcoholic drink, not even a cocacola.
	The only living relatives are two sisters, one New Mexico, and one in 
Kansas City, who were unable to be present, though the deceased had many 
friends and will be greatly missed.  Funeral service and burial took place at 
Vale cemetery on Saturday afternoon
