AVERY COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Jack Greene, 19 Dec 2003

CAMDEN, SC - Jack Greene, 79, formerly of Elk Park, died Friday, 
Dec. 19, 2003. He was the son of the late Marvin and Inez Phillips 
Greene. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jackie and Mike 
Greene; and 14 brothers and sisters. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the 
Korean War, he was a member of Roberts-Dixon VFW Post #5928.

Survivors include four daughters, Marty Pauna and Judy Bovender, 
both of Hickory, Pamela Davis of Hartsville, and Janet Gail Hall 
of Camden; a son, Jeffrey Greene of Lugoff; sisters, Doris Hobson 
and Earline Baker, both of Bakersville, and Anna Jean Bedford of 
Nebo; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. 
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday in Kornegay Funeral 
Home Camden Chapel. Revs. Wayne Thompson and J.C. Connell officiated. 
Memorial donations may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter 
Day Saints Missionary Fund, 34 Chestnut Ferry Road, Camden, SC 29020.
