MARY GRIFFIN
CROSSNORE - Mary Griffin, 67, of Locust Street, died Sunday, Sept. 
22, 2002 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Manley and Effie 
Buchanan Hollifield, and wife of the late Raymond Griffin. She was also 
preceded in death by her brothers, Rex and Fred Hollifield. She was a 
member of Crossnore Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen L. Griffin of Louisville, KY; a 
son, Ramie Griffin of Newton; brothers, Tommy and Paul Hollifield of 
Spruce Pine, Frank Hollifield of Little Switzerland, and Billy Hollifield 
of Columbus, GA.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Grindstaff Memorial 
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Richard Hollifield 
officiated. Burial was in Burnette Cemetery. The family received friends 
from 3 p.m. until the service hour Wednesday at the funeral home.
