HELEN ELIZABETH ISAACS 

NEWLAND - Helen Elizabeth Isaacs, 78, of the Squirrel Creek community, died 
Thursday, March 8, 2007 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Jim and 
Jodie Pyte Vance. She was also preceded in death by a son, Harry Lee Isaacs; 
two sisters and three brothers. She was a homemaker, and a member of Chestnut 
Dale Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, J. D. Isaacs; two daughters, Linda Clark and 
Harriett Webb; three sisters, Barbara Harkins, Eula Buchanan and Wanda 
Brassel; two brothers, Jimmy Vance and Tommy Vance; and three grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Chestnut Dale Baptist Church. 
Rev. Andy Willis officiated. Burial followed in Daniels Cemetery. The family 
received friends from 2 p.m. until the service hour at the church. Yancey 
Funeral Service assisted the family.
