AVERY COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Verlie Calloway Ingram, 30 Dec 2003

NEWLAND - Verlie Calloway Ingram, 83, of Rogers Ridge Road, died 
Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. She was 
the daughter of the late Lawson and Betty Benfield Calloway, and 
wife of the late Arnold Ingram. She was also preceded in death by 
a daughter, Patsy Isaacs; two infant sons; a grandson; and three 
granddaughters. She was a member of Big Meadows Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Louise Franklin of Plumtree, and 
Mary Pearson of Valdese; two sons, Bud Ingram of Elk Park, and David 
Ingram of Plumtree; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Grindstaff 
Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. James Beaver 
officiated. Burial was in Big Meadows Cemetery. The family received 
friends from 10 a.m. Thursday until the service hour at the funeral 
home.
