Alta M. Johnson

Alta M. Johnson, 84, 105 Echo Drive, Elizabethton, died Thursday, 
January 30, 2003, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended 
illness.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Avery County, N.C., and had lived in 
Northeast Tennessee since 1970. She was the daughter of the late Henry 
William and Viller Biggs Rash and was also preceded in death by a son, 
Steve Billy Rash, and by three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a 
30-year member of the Women of the Moose.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Johnson, of the home, and two sons, 
Joseph Rash, of the home, and Adrian Booy Rash, Nashville. Six 
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
