JOHN EDWARD JOHNSON

SWANNANOA - John Edward Johnson, 88, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003. 
A native of Avery County and a logger, he was the son of the late 
Hardy and Tisha McKinney Johnson, and husband of the late Lena Lusk 
Johnson.  Survivors include his daughter, Donna Johnson of Swannanoa; 
two brothers, Mack Johnson of Mt. Vernon, WA, and Kernal Johnson of 
Spruce Pine; two sisters, Revonda Green of Summerset, KY, and Delia 
Johnson of San Francisco, CA; seven grandchildren; eight great 
grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

No local services are planned. Memorial donations may be made to 
the charity of your choice. Penland and Sons Funeral Home was in 
charge of arrangements.
