The Avery Advocate July 19, 1928

	Mrs. Margaret Short McKinney aged 76 years, the wife of James McKinney, 
departed this life fast Tuesday, July 10th at 3 p.m.  She leaves a husband, two 
sons, two daughters, several grand children and great grand children and a host 
of friends to mourn her loss.
	“Aunt Margaret”, as every one who knew her called her, was a good 
Christian woman and used her influence to guide and lead others to Christ.  She 
was a member of the Baptist church.  We shall miss aunt Margaret greatly.  She 
had been failing in health for the past year, at times she was unable to sit 
up, while most of the time she could sit up.  She was taken serious Sunday and 
died Tuesday.  Her body was laid in the Pleasant Hill cemetery Thursday.  Rev. 
T.W. Clapp of Plumtree, and Rev. Issac Woody, of Frank, conducted the funeral 
services.
