JACK CECIL MCCLOUD

NEWLAND - Jack Cecil McCloud, 75, of the Cranberry community, died 
Saturday, Mar. 15, 2003 at Cannon Memorial Hospital. He was the son 
of Reacy Hoilman McCloud of Spruce Pine, and the late Spencer McCloud. 
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brad McCloud; and a sister, 
Dixie Biddix. A building contractor and U.S. Army veteran, he was also a 
charter member and deacon of Belview Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Melby Stamey 
McCloud of the home; daughters, Hoffer, Carol Garland, Janice McCloud and 
Kathy Lee, all of Newland; sons, Eugene McCloud and Jerry McCloud, both of 
Newland, and Phillip McCloud of Banner Elk; sisters, Bertie Duncan of 
Burnsville, and Anita Elliott of Spruce Pine; a brother, Herbert McCloud 
of Spruce Pine; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Belview Baptist Church. 
Revs. Tommy Carver and Gary Greene officiated. Burial followed in Belview
