AVERY COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Hubert Moffitt, 12 Dec 2004

Hubert Moffitt, 70, Piney Flats, died at his residence on Sunday, Dec. 
12, 2004. A native of Banner Elk, N.C., he was the son of the late James 
and Laura Tate Moffitt. He was of the Baptist faith and had retired as a 
brick mason and school bus driver. He was preceded in death by his parents 
and his wife, Connie L. Moffitt.

Survivors include two daughters, Trinia McIntyre, Johnson City, and Vickey 
K. Walkins, High Point, N.C.; two sons, Gary Moffitt and Toney Lee Moffitt, 
both of High Point, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 
one brother, Luther Moffitt, Bluff City.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, in 
the National Cemetery, Mountain Home, with the Rev. Paul Crowe officiating. 
VFW Post 2166 will provide military honors. Pallbearers, who are requested 
to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Monday, will be Bill Renfro, Hobe 
Renfro, Luther Moffitt, Jeff Moffitt, Ricky Smith, and friends attending the 
service. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Monday 
Friends may call at the residence of his daughter, 2819 Emory Lane, Johnson 
City, at any time. Condolences to the Moffitt family may be emailed to 
mfc@chartertn.net. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
