ARTHA JANE GREENE MOODY
PLUMTREE – Artha Jane Greene Moody, 92, died Saturday, August 25, 2001 in a 
Banner Elk health care facility. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and 
Mary Ledford Greene, and wife of the late Oscar Moody. A member of Plumtree
Presbyterian Church, she was retired from Tar Heel Mica Company.
Survivors include a son, Richard Moody of Plumtree; a daughter, Anna Lee 
Taylor of Plumtree; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and four 
step great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Jerry Burleson officiated. Burial 
was in Buck Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family received friends one 
hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
