Rites Held for Robert Pittman
	Funeral services were held Saturday at the Yellow Mountain cemetery for 
Robert  Pittman of Spruce Pine who died at eh Banner Elk hospital Friday night 
following a short illness.  Death came from a hemorrhage of the brain.
	The deceased who was 22 years old is survived by his widow, who prior 
to their marriage last June was Miss Lennos Stafford of Spruce Pine; his 
mother, Mrs. Champ Pittman, who has recently moved near Marion, and the 
following brothers and sisters; Milton Jason, Clarence, and Junior Pitman, and 
Ruby Pitman, who live with their mother; Mr. Bertha Roberts, of McDowell 
county, Mrs. Myrtle Stafford , Mrs. Lillie Wyatte and Miss Ethel Pitman, of 
Spruce Pine and Miss Lula Pitman, of Plumtree.  The father died a year ago.
