She professed faith in Christ at the age of 17 years and united with the Baptist church of which she lived a devoted member, ever ready to tell others about the love of Christ and invite them to seek the better life. She was united in marriage to Harrison Stanbury Oct. 12, 1922. Such peace and joy embraced this union that entering their home was to feel that the meek and desirable spirit she possessed was richly indweit by divine love. She leaves a husband, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and a host of friends to mourn their loss. Bowing to the --- Him that doth all things--- for them that love Him that he hath only called His suffering child home to that rest that remaineth for the people of God. September 27, 1827, after a memorial sermon by her pastor, N.S. Hampton and compliments of her successful Christian life by Rev Zeb Potter, of Stone Ager, Va, her body was laid to rest in the Gwyn cemetery. As her body moulders Under the cold, cold clods, She bowed by her life journey That she ever walked with God.
